How about transmitting a distress signal into space?
Q. So far we have only transmitted scientific messages into space (along with all of the other radio and TV signals). Interesting enough but it's not getting any attention. What about sending a distress signal? With all the problems facing the world, I think we could use some extra help. Any thoughts?

A. It would have to be a really powerful signal, to even become noticeable between the noise we produce and the noise created by the sun, when received a few light years away. Also, how should an alien civilization finally know, that we are calling for help? Most humans are not even capable of understanding animal body language, so what do you expect of other civilizations. Do you hope ignorance is only a human trait?

I am under extreme emotional distress. How can I calm myself down during pregnancy?
Q. I have been under an extreme amount of emotional distress the last few days, and I expect it get worse in the next few. I am not going to go into why, but I have been crying almost to the point of being hysterical and I am nervous about what this is doing my baby. I am 15 weeks. Any suggestions on how to calm myself down?? I know I should take deep breaths, I need more than that. Help!

Regardless of the situation that is stressing you, You need to put it aside and really fast all you have to do is remb. my personal story.I have had all premature births due to stress,my oldest was born @ 28 weeks gestation and lived in the NICU for 4 months and was brought home on a machine for the rest of the 1st year of his life!Then my last son have a few inbetween but all premature,my last son born last year was 33 weeks old cause I stressed during pregnancy, yeah was alot more calmer and learned whats more important but i am in nature an anxious person. He was born early and again had to live in the NICU just for some weeks, he came home, and everything was great, NO stress anymore!!! Until he forgot to breath in his… [cont.]

How can I scuff up or distress some new sneakers?
Q. I am buying some new Converse sneakers and I simply abhor the new shoe look. I want to know if anyone has any ideas on how to scuff them up or distress them...quickly. Obviously wearing them for a year would be ideal, however I have more like a week...so...any ideas?

A. This is my way to ruin a pair of sneakers: (I hate new sneakers too they make me feel so dorky) - Wait for a rainy day/ if you're desperate hose down a dirt patch - Jump like crazy in the mud with the shoes on- for at least 10-15min--> - the dirt is only going to stick on your new shoes if it's wet :) i know from experience - Keep doing it until the shoes are completely soaked through - Leave them to dry for a few days so then the dirt cakes in - Wash off any excess grit/grime :), some dirt will always stay on to give the worn-out look!
